The decor that we collectively put up in our homes isn’t much better. In the UK, an estimated 2,000 tonnes of plastic waste is generated from throwaway Halloween costumes. The sad fact is that on average, Americans buy $3.4 billion worth of costumes every year and most of those will be thrown out after just one use. Who says Halloween has to be filled with plastic trinkets, decorations, and disposable costumes to be fun? Not me!
